On September 11, 1944, Professor of Constitutional Law Francisco Javier Pérez Royo was born in Seville .
He completed all his studies in Seville, graduating in Law in 1966 at the Sevillian University where he also obtained his doctorate in 1969 after reading his thesis: The reserve of law .
He expanded his Law studies in the Social and Human Sciences Section of the Max Planck Institute; at the University of Minnesota and the University of Tübingen. He began teaching in 1977 teaching Political Law at the University of Seville and, in 1984, as a professor of Constitutional Law.
Among other positions, he was rector of the University Las Vegas Email List of Seville , president of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities, member of the Commission to draft the Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia and also the one that prepared the reform of the Catalan Statute. Among his many works: The Constitution explained to my granddaughters; The unviable constitutional reform; Constitutional Law Course .
Together with magistrate José Antonio Martín Pallín he shared the 2019 Alfonso Comín award. In 2007 he was awarded the Blanquerna Award by the Catalan Generalitat and, years later, the Cross of Saint George. He is in possession of the Gold Medal of the Andalusian Parliament and that of the Junta de Andalucía.
He has trained a large handful of doctors, directing their theses at the University of Seville, such as Karla Elisabeth Andrade Quevedo , Manuel Carrasco Durán , Carlos Alberto Conde da Silva Fraga , Manuel E. Escalante Saracais , Carlos Bruno Ferreira da Silva , Esperanza Gómez Corona , Luzía Marques da Silva Cabral Pinto , Eva Martínez Sampere , Manuel Medina Guerrero Gracia Morales Fernández , Francisco Javier Pardo Falcón , Adriana Vanesa Retana Barrantes , Miryam Rodríguez-Izquierdo Serrano , Rafael Sarazá Jimena , Irene Sobrino Guijarro . And co-directed with Manuel Carrasco Durán , Jorge Benavides Ordoñez and Salvador Contreras Navidad ; with Abraham Barrero Ortega that of Laura Gómez Abeja and with Paolo Passaglia that of Silvia Romboli .
