Opening spaces for women in agribusiness and other scientific areas is necessary to transform the reality experienced by 992 thousand Mexican women who are underrepresented in this sector. Therefore, this type of project must be part of the sector's social responsibility strategies, since it is necessary to give a voice to the female workforce, as well as provide them with the health services necessary for a full life. With this objective in mind, the Mexican sugar industry seeks to accelerate the pace so that more and more women become the engine of growth and sustainable innovation. However, it is necessary to evaluate progress and propose ideas to transform the social context and promote female talent. But it is possible? Of course, below we show you a great example! Women in agribusiness advance To share inspiring and success stories, Grupo del ( GAT )—a leading company in the production and distribution of sugarcane products—participated in the “Working Life of Women in the Sugar Agroindustry” Forum.
Through various dialogue tables, attendees, both in person and virtually, were able to learn about the panorama of this sector in terms of progress and goals in gender equality. This event took place on March 16 and 17 in the vicinity of the National Chamber of the Sugar and Alcohol Industry ( CNIAA ) in Mexico City.
