ECIJA continues with its growth strategy by strengthening its office in Madrid and expanding its service offering with the signing of Jorge González Cortade , a State lawyer on leave, who joins the firm as a partner to lead the Public Law area and Regulatory .
González Cortade, to date director of the Legal Department of the Madrid City Council with a staff of more than 80 people, has a deep knowledge of Spanish institutions , having held different positions within the Public Email Data Administration since he joined the same in 2011. Previously, he held the position of State Attorney in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation , in the Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support of the Ministry of Economy and Business, in the General Subdirectorate of Services Litigation of the State, in the General State Attorney's Office in Valladolid and in the General State Attorney's Office in the Balearic Islands.
Within his extensive professional career, he has been a speaker at the Central Administrative Court of Contractual Resources since 2015 and a member of the Account Audit Committee of the Institute of Accounting and Audit of Accounts.
Likewise, he has been coordinator of different legal assistance agreements signed by the General State Attorney's Office with entities such as the FROB, RTVE, Hipódromo de la Zarzuela or the Autonomous University of Madrid, among others.
Graduated in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and with a high leadership program for public management awarded by IESE, he has also developed his teaching role in different institutions , among others, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Business, the Ministry of Justice, FEGA, Center for Legal Studies and National Institute of Statistics and has collaborated with the University of the Balearic Islands and IE University.
